Our Rugs
At Azulike, our Moroccan rugs are more than home decor — they are woven pieces of art meant to be, carried across generations. Each piece is handmade in Morocco using traditional techniques, natural fibers, and centuries-old patterns that reflect the history, region and culture of the maker.
We work directly with weavers in the Atlas Mountains and surrounding regions, sourcing one-of-a-kind rugs that are ethically made with quality, natural dyed wool, and designed to last a lifetime.

Where Our Rugs Come From
Beni Ourain Rugs – Atlas Mountains
These high-pile wool rugs are woven by Berber women in the Middle Atlas region. Known for their softness and signature diamond motifs, they’re warm, plush and timeless in design—perfect for bedrooms, living spaces, and layering.
Boujad Rugs – Central Morocco
Boujad rugs are expressive and colorful, often featuring rich pinks, oranges, and purples with abstract, symbolic patterns. These pieces are usually vintage, completely one-of-a-kind, and add a bold softness to modern spaces.
Azilal Rugs – High Atlas Mountains
Azilal rugs are known for their creamy base, quirky patterns, and playful pops of color. They often carry ancestral symbolism, storytelling, and unexpected asymmetry—ideal for artful, eclectic homes.

Why Our Rugs are Special
- Handmade in Morocco: No machines. No shortcuts. Just traditional techniques..
- One-of-a-Kind: We never carry duplicates. Each rug is the only one of its kind.
- Natural Materials: Made from 100% wool and natural dyes—no synthetics, ever.
- Ethically Sourced: We work directly with artisan cooperatives, paying fairly and upfront.
- Every rug carries its own origin, its own meaning, and its own imperfections—which we consider one of the best parts..
Things to Know
Are your rugs vintage or new?
We carry both! Some of our rugs are vintage (10–50 years old), while others are newly woven by artisans using traditional techniques. Each listing will let you know which.
How are your rugs cleaned or repaired?
All rugs are professionally cleaned and inspected before they reach you. If restoration is needed, it’s done by the same communities who wove them.
Do Moroccan rugs shed?
Some shedding is normal, especially for newer high-pile rugs like Beni Ourains. This settles over time and doesn’t affect quality.
Are your rugs soft enough for bedrooms or nurseries?
Absolutely! Our rugs—especially Beni Ourains—are known for their plush, cloud-soft texture and warmth.
How do I care for my rug?
Vacuum regularly (without a beater bar), rotate occasionally, and spot clean with mild soap and water. For a deep clean, we recommend using a specialist in natural wool rugs
