STORY: Bogolan, more commonly known as mud cloth, is on of Africa's more unique textiles. Made with narrow strips of handwoven cotton, the fabric is stitched together into a solid cloth then painted with patterns and symbols using a variety of natural dyes. Traditionally, mud cloth was reserved for certain classes of hunters, warriors and healers but today you can find it utilized in multiple formats from clothing to home decor.
Our Moroccan mud cloth lumbar pillows feature a primary mud cloth surface with cotton fabric back.
